This series consists of contracts, deeds, patents, and correspondence pertaining to the sale, lease, or maintenance of state property. It contains information on the acquisition of the Governor's Mansion; gas, oil, and mineral leases; and land used by the federal government for military bases, hospitals, and other functions. The files began when Benjamin Meek Miller was governor and continued through James E. Folsom's second term.
